“globally inspired, locally sourced”
Of Mexican and Russian descent, Chef Shehernaz Orescan grew up traveling the world, spending much of her childhood immersed in the vibrant cultures and culinary traditions of Latin America and Asia.
She honors tradition but is anything but traditional, drawing inspiration from Peru’s rich culinary heritage, including Chifa and Nikkei cuisine, born from the fusion of Peruvian ingredients with Chinese and Japanese culinary traditions.
Bringing together bold flavors, ancestral techniques, and locally sourced Pacific Northwest ingredients, Chef Shehernaz creates food that celebrates the beauty of cultural exchange.
At NAZ, food is a bridge between cultures.
